Wooden Churches - Bardejovské kúpele

Wooden Greek-Catholic Church of Protection of the Virgin Mary

Church built in 1730 in the village Mikulášová, rebuilt and enlarged in 1837. It had been used until 1926. In 1931 it was transferred to Bardejovské Kúpele spa and in 2005, as completely renovated, the church was transferred directly to open air museum. It is one of the only a few churches with painted exterior. Clocks, painted on three sides of the square tower, play only a decorative function. Interior, icons and iconostasis from the first half of the 18th century are exhibited in the exposition of the museum in Bardejov.
