HIKING TRAIL ČIERNA MLÁKA

The trail is located in highlands Ondavska vrchovina, it begins and ends in a place called Nad jazierkom in Bardejovské Kúpele. The lenght of tha trail is 4,4 kilometers and you can choose from three variously challenging circuits.

 

SADDLE ČEREŠŇA

The Saddle is located 520 metres above sea level. It is a junction of hiking trails. You can rest in a garden house and take advantage of an open-air fireplace. The walking distance to hill Stebnícka Magura is 1.15 h and to Zborov Castle 3.10 h

 

STEBNÍCKA MAGURA

Stebnícka Magura is a hill (899,9 metres above sea level) in Busov highlands, which is part of Nízke Beskydy mountain range. It is located north of the Town of Bardejov. Having a TV tower on its top, Stebnícka Magura is the dominant element of the surrounding area. When the weather is nice, you can see Wester Tatras Mountains.

 

 

OXYGEN RUNWAYS

Forrest path with workout stations. Forrest Oxygen Path occupies a special place within the medical and rehabilitation trails. The technical difficulty is designed in such a way that the equipment and individual exercises are adapted in accordance with the indications treated in Spa Bardejovské Kúpele. The next is forrest path with 19 workout stations in Mihaľov.

 

KAMENNÁ HORA

Wooden look out tower was built in 2017 and is located between Bardejovské Kúpele and Bardejov on the ridge Kamenná hora.

 

REGETOVKA
A nature reserve the Regetovské rašelinisko bog and surrounding countryside, situated in cadastral territory of the village, is rich in forest animals and forest fruits. In winter, Regetovka is popular center for downhill and cross country skiing.


BECHEROV

The village situated near the border crossing to Poland. Cemetery of the victims WWI in the village, a stone monument (made in 1916 by outstanding Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič) and cemetery on a frontier hill Beskydek. A sulphurous mineral spring water with healing effect on rheumatic diseases in the Riečka valley. A national nature reserve Becherovská tisina in the cadastre of village.

 

 

STEBNÍK

It is located 4 km from Zborov. In the village there is a national nature reserve Stebnícka Magura and military cemetery from the WWI. There are several tourist trails leading to top of Magura.

 

GABOLTOV
A village situated 15 km northerly of Bardejov is a famous pilgrimage site.Gaboltov pilgrimages are the biggest Marian pilgrimages and are held annually on the first Sunday after July 15. Center of the village belongs to the St. Adalbert Church, built in the second half of the 14th century.

 

DUBINNÉ

Eight hundred years old English oak standing in the middle of the village, 25 m high, the oldes tree in Slovakia, is a remarkable nature peculiarity. Nearby reservoir offers very favorable conditions for fishing.

 

CIGEĽKA

The village, which is known for an original mountain wellspring of alkaline salty mineral water, that is for its healing effects exported worldwide. Nearby lake offers opportunities for swimming and boating.

 

HERTNÍK

The oldest mention of the village dates back to 1351. There is a well-preserved mansion from 1563 in the village, originally fortified, built on the site of a former Gothic castle, rebuilt in the first half of the 17th century. Late-Gothic church from 1607 with valuable interior. Village is the starting point of tourist trails to the Čergov mountains.

 

NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE BECHEROVSKÁ TISINA
National nature reserve declared in 1954 to protect the yew. An alpine aron, grows here, as well as a braun´s holly fern, a hard shield fern and protected by law European monkshood.

 

NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE ČERGOVSKÝ MINČOL
Čergovský Minčol (1157 m als.), the highestpoint of the Čergov mountain, offers beautiful views. Tops of the reservation are coverd with rich typical Carpathian mountain flora. An Alpin leek is here in abundance. Protected area also includes beech, maple anf fir mountain vegetation. There are lots of springs areas and protected area Pramenisko Tople.

 

NATIONAL NATURE RESERVATION MAGURA
A nature reserve declared in 1964, mainly thanks to nature and primeval forests. There are scree beech maple, maple anf fir beech forests. Typical for the area is a large representation of different species of ferns and protected a Russian beladonna.

 

NATURE RESERVE LIVOVSKÁ JELŠINA
Declared in 1986 on the banks of the Topľa river. Rare riparian vegetation of gray alder with mass habitat of endangered an ostrich fern.

 

NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE REGETOVSKÉ RAŠELINISKO BOG

It was established to protect the fen-bog communities. Continuous vegetation consists of a bogbean, rich is here a common sundew, rarely a creasted bucker fern, a purple marshlocks and especially the the precious wild calla.

 

NATURE RESERVE POD BESKYDOM
There are very well preserved and botanically remarkable bog fields.The most precious is a common adder´s tongue.

 

NATURE RESERVE SLATINA POD LIESKOVCOM

Declared in 1979. The bog field near a road Bardejovská Nová Ves to Komárov is a protected locality of a bogbean.

 

NATURE RESERVE ZBOROVSKÝ HRADNÝ VRCH
The oldest nature reserve in the district with mixed beech hornbeam and oak stands on an area of 24 ha. Nature reserve was declared in 1950, but already in 1926 its part was declared area.
